On 23 October 2025, the seminar "Global Asset Development Strategy Decoded: Offshore Structure Establishment, Corporate Governance and Cross-Border Dispute Resolution" was successfully convened at the Shanghai International Arbitration (Hong Kong) Centre. Jointly organized by the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Centre) and the Shanghai International Arbitration (Hong Kong) Centre, the event served as one of the flagship events of the 2025 Hong Kong Arbitration Week . It attracted over a hundred participants, including industry experts, seasoned lawyers, and corporate representatives.
To strengthen the development of Shanghai's response mechanism for overseas intellectual property disputes, accelerate the deployment of public service institutions abroad, and further promote the development of Shanghai's overseas intellectual property initiatives, the Shanghai Enterprise Intellectual Property Service Station (Hong Kong) was officially launched on 21 October 2025 under the guidance and support of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration.
The Arbitration Law of the People's Republic of China was revised and adopted at the 17th Session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on September 12, 2025, promulgated in accordance with the Order of the President of the People's Republic of China (No. 54), and shall come into force on March 1, 2026.
